Richard (Dick) Paul Larson

Richard (Dick) Paul Larson, 81, of Vadnais Heights, MN passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2024. He was born on October 26th, 1942. He graduated Valedictorian from Robbinsdale High School in 1960. Dick worked for the City of Golden Valley and St Louis Park Fire Department before retiring from the State of Minnesota Fire Marshals Office.
The love of hunting and fishing were deeply rooted in Dick from his father, Paul. He also participated in drag racing in his younger years. Dick was a licensed pyrotechnician for many years and passed his love of pyrotechnics onto his sons. Rick continues this legacy today. Dick’s passion for the outdoors was then passed down to the next 3 generations.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sandra. His children Kim, Connie (Marc), Rick, Troy (Sue). Sandra’s daughters Wanda (Kent), Christine (David). Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Great-great grandchild, extended family, and many close friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Carmen Larson and son-in-law, Tim.
Funeral services will be held at Faith United Methodist (formerly Mount Bethel UMC) in Inver Grove Heights at 11 AM on July 6th, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
