Laura Mae (Anderson) Jonsgaard

Laura Mae (Anderson) Jonsgaard of Okeechobee, FL passed away on April 4th, 2025 at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee with her husband by her side. She was born October 23, 1966 to Barb (Kiese) & Lyle Anderson in Winona, MN.
Laura attended Lewiston-Altura High School and graduated in 1984. She married Charles Hentges and later divorced. On July 3, 2004, she married the love of her life, LeRoy Jonsgaard. They lived in Stockton, MN for several years before moving to Okeechobee, FL. Laura loved working for Walmart since moving to Okeechobee 6 years ago.
Laura enjoyed many things including: crocheting, puzzles, reading, the ocean, bluegrass festivals, concerts, gaming, and spending time with friends and family.
Laura is survived by her husband, LeRoy Jonsgaard, her sons Joshua Hengtes, Dominic (Ellie) Hentges, and Shawn Hentges, her step-children Kerry (Mandy) Jonsgaard, Amanda Jonsgaard, and Michael Bussel, and her grandson Gabriel Jonsgaard. She is survived by her brothers, Roger (Marie) Anderson and Daniel (Isabel) Anderson. She is also survived by her step-father Mark Ernster, and step-siblings Lisa (Jon) Marthaler, and Laura (Jeremy) Watson. She is survived by brother/sister-in laws, Karen (Larry) Buxcel, Bev (Ray) Gilliam, Kevin (Carrie) Jonsgaard, Jodi (Bob) Van Pelt, and Kelly (Patrick) Kalmes, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her daughter Nicole Hentges, father Lyle Anderson, and her mother Barb (Keise) Ernster. She is also preceded in death by her father-in law Harris Jonsgaard, brother-in-law Leland Jonsgaard, and other family members.
Please join us in the celebration of Laura's life on August 10th 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Lewiston Community Center. No flowers Please, due to travel.
