Campground in Strum to be open to full capacity

STRUM - The Crystal Lake Campground will operate at full capacity this season. The announcement was made during the March meeting of the Strum Village Board back on the 8th.

The restrooms at the campground will be cleaned to the COVID-19 standards.

The board was also given updates on the Spruce St. project, the restocking of Crystal Lake with fish after the dam repair, and the Strum Community Trails. The board decided keep motorized vehicles or equipment on the trails to avoid damage as they work to thin out some of the trees along the trail. Signage will be put up to make the public aware.

Village Clerk Michelle Loken reported to the board that village insurance costs have gone down and there will now be a cyber insurance plan.
