Eleva-Strum prep baseball travels to Milwaukee for pair of games
MILWAUKEE - The Eleva-Strum High School Baseball Team is in Milwaukee this Mother's Day weekend playing two top large school teams.
On Saturday at 11 a.m. the No. 13 ranked Cardinals (12-6 overall) square off against No. 18 ranked in Division 1 Wisconsin Lutheran (12-3).
Then on Sunday, E-S goes up against the No. 1 ranked team in Division 2, Pewaukee, (17-4) at American Family Field where the Brewers play. This game will follow the Brewers' contest with St. Louis later in the afternoon.
Wisconsin Lutheran edged Pewaukee 5-3 this past Wednesday. It's a testament to how tough the league they are in, the Woodland West as the team in first place in that league is No. 5 ranked in D-2 New Berlin Eisenhower (13-5) with an 8-2 record (Wisco is also 8-2 and Pewaukee is 7-3).
Eleva-Strum is has struggled against some of the big school on their schedule this season but has played them tough and close. And the Cardinals are still 9-1 in the Dairyland Conference just a game back of No. 15 Blair-Taylor at 10-0. Both teams meet again on the diamond at B-T on May 20.
