Eleva Village Board begins new term with meeting

ELEVA - The new term of the Eleva Village Board began with its April meeting held the week after the spring election on April 13 at the Village Hall. Members of the Board are : Brett Semingson, Ben Aiona, Kyle Downing, Tristan Kjeseth, Jill Long, Jacob Mai and Rachel Stevens.

Board members Kyle Downing (116), Tristan Kjeseth (112) and Brian Long (126) and their votes in the election were sworn in for a two-year term.

There was discussion on yard clean-up at 50693 No. Main Street. Complaints of junk and jugs of some sort in the yard. Police to document with additional pictures. Violation of our ordinance and Wellhead Ordinance. Will talk to DNR to proceed. Board members also discussed about a light pole by Express Mart that was damaged. Waiting on Police Report/Insurance to order a new one.

A driveway permit for Denise Kruger – 26423 W. Mondovi Street, was approved unanimously as was a motion to approve transferring $27,642.72 from Fire Department Fundraising account back to Fire Department Savings Account – from Gun Banquet, a motion to renewing $100,000 Revolving Line of Credit with Alliance Bank due April 16, 2026 at 4.89 percent interest for one year, a motion to approve pending operator licenses applications, approve authorization to perform professional engineering services” to Cedar Corp for future Block Grant work, - a motion approve Corner Building #3 renter's security deposit refund minus expenses, to approve change to add full-time police officer subject to 12 month probationary period at $31.00 per hour effective Saturday, May 2, 2026 – beginning of pay period. rate increase after probationary period and to hire move part-time police officer Brecken Young to full-time after a closed session.
