Merchants-Bullfrogs game suspended due to storms, to be completed June 1

STRUM - The Chippewa River Baseball League (CRBL) baseball game between Beef River and Osseo was suspended back on May 18 at Spangberg Field.
Storms in the area put a halt to the ballgame with the score 0-0 in the seventh inning.
The rain, wind and lightning stopped what was a pitcher's duel between Beef River's Brandon Jaenke, making his first start for the Bullfrogs this season, and Osseo's Alex Byom. Jaenke had struck out seven batters in a two-hitter.
The ballgame will be completed next Wednesday, June 1 at Soiney Field in Osseo before the regularly scheduled CRBL contest between Osseo and Beef River. This will be the Merchants' home opener for the 2022 season.
