New Hope Lutheran Church Participates In Sleep In Heavenly Peace Event

TAYLOR - Members of the New Hope Community Lutheran Church believe that every child deserves to have a bed to sleep in. That’s why they joined other churches and organizations at the recently held bed building event of Sleep in Heavenly Peace at the Taylor Community Center.
The Trempealeau County branch coordinated by Larry Guthrie has been in existence over a year and they were joined by Jackson County branch and it’s coordinator, New Hope’s Pastor Elden Simonson in a joint effort to see that the counties’ area children who need a bed will get one.
Not only did New Hope provide a monetary donation, but several members of their church and youth group picked up hammers, saws and sanders and pitched in where needed. To top it off in a very cozy way, the sewers of the church made beautiful quilts to add to their donations.
The best news of all is that this will all be happening again in December at the Blair-Taylor High School.
