O-F School Board declines offer from Trempealeau County on meals

OSSEO - The Osseo-Fairchild School Board took no action on a request from Trempealeau County to use its kitchen help prepare meals for senior citizens in the county during its September meeting held back on the 12th.

Board members and Superintendent Lori Whelan expressed concern that there was not enough food or resources to cover both school and senior meals. The county has reached out to different locations (including Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum) to increase the number of meal sites in the county and across the county. Shortages and supply chain problems in food service have been problems for many school districts across the country.

However, the Board did unanimously approved an interagency agreement with the county's Human Services Department

Also on the agenda, the board approved all hires and resignations were unanimously approved along with the agenda for the annual meeting which is scheduled for Oct. 24 at 7 p.m; a girls high school basketball practice on a Sunday.
