Osseo City Council cracks down on illegal use of city brush site

OSSEO - The Osseo City Council approved putting in new signage at the city's brush site telling out-of-town residents they need a permit to use it and increasing penalties if they don't. The new policies were unanimously approved at the city council's April meeting back on the 13th at Osseo City Hall.

The new policies were established to deal with the problems raised with non-city residents using the brush dump site.

The council also unanimously approved re-establishing previous hours of use for the city's recycling center and on days Tuesdays-Thursdays-Saturdays. The city asks persons using the recycling center to maintain social distancing due to the COVID-19 virus

In other council action, the members unanimously approved a payment to the Schaumberg Law Firm of $2,536.65, approved invoice payments to Cedar Corp. Public Engineering Firm of $182.50 for a map update and a CDBG application assistance for $467.50 and also unanimously approved updates to the zoning firm application process.
