WIAA regional tournaments is where the seasons for all the of the Tri-County Area prep baseball teams came to an end.

In Division 3 regional semifinals, Osseo-Fairchild lost 4-3 at Whitehall, Augusta lost 8-1 to No. 2 ranked La Crosse Aquinas and in Division 4, Eleva-Strum was knocked off by conference rival Cochrane-Fountain City 8-2. All the games were played on Tuesday, May 31.

The Thunder (9-11 overall) had the lead on Whitehall 3-1 after the top half of the seventh inning but the Norse (15-7) scored three runs in their last at bats to win. O-F was hurt by three errors in the ballgame. Still, their record in 2022 was an improvement on last season's 7-15 mark and with a young squad they look to better days ahead.

Augusta, (10-12) gave it a good go against one of the state's top-ranked teams on the road, trailing just 4-1 by the fourth inning after `Zander Harris scored off an error from an errant pick-off attempt at third base. But the Blugolds (24-4) responded quickly as they scored five unanswered runs in innings four through six. The Beavers were held to just two hits and committed eight errors. Aquinas made it to the sectional finals but was upset by St. Croix Falls 3-0 in the championship game played Tuesday, June 8.

Eleva-Strum finished its season 15-7 overall as it lost its regional semifinal contest to the Pirates, a team they split with during the regular season.
