Smiles from the 2020 Jackson County Fair

By Lori Johnson

BLACK RIVER FALLS - The 2020 Jackson County Fair, while not the same as in other years, is hailed as a victory! In this time of COVID-19 when countless other events had to be put on hold or cancelled completely, planners of this year's fair decided that the exhibiting should go on, much to the delight of those who look forward to that aspect every year. Doing its best to follow safety guidelines and mandates - the show did go on!

The fair has been summed up in the comments below:

"Fair 2020 was one we'll never forget! Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the fair happen despite all that 2020 has brought. A year of exhibits only but a year of bonding and friendships that'll last for years! This was exactly what the kids needed!"

"I don't think any of us knew exactly what to expect as we headed to our Jackson County Fair on Wednesday morning. Well I never dreamed it would be as wonderful as it was! It was by far the best fair ever! It was fun, relaxing, quiet, did I mention fun. I want to say we have the best kids ever. We had lots of kids playing Cornhole, four square, sidewalk chalk, singing, and just plain fun. "They help each other, they entertain us parents, they are great kids, they aren't too bad at showing livestock also! So until next year YAY FAIR!!!"
