Spruce Street project bid approved by Strum Village Board

STRUM - The Strum Village Board approved a bid from McCabe Construction from Eau Claire for the Spruce St. project at its April meeting back on the 12th.

The bid was for $739,503.50 and was the lowest of the six submitted. Board members also discussed coordinating the project with Trempealeau County as they are planning on chip-sealing 5th Ave.

A building permit for Michele Peaslee on Hickory St. to put up a fence was approved.

In other agenda items, the board approved motion to purchase a topper for the fence at Spangberg Field. There was also discussion over a reported from the board's Recycling Committee on various ways to close the deficit in the recycling budget such as changing bags and the possibility of closing the center on Tuesdays.
