Strum Village Board amends water rate increase

STRUM - The Strum Village Board approved an amendment to water rate increase done back in Augusta at its December meeting held back on the 9th at the Civic Center.
The Board amended the rate increase to bring it to the Public Service Commission (PSC) rate of 4.1 percent
The Board also decided not to sponsor the Strum Royalty program after some discussion. There were also lengthy discussions on closing the village's Recycling Center on dangerous weather days such as extreme heat or cold to protect village employees and discussion on the operations of the Joint Sewer Commission such procedures, split costs, meeting frequency and certifications.
The Board approved a motion to approve the transfer of Class A Alcohol and Tobacco License from Consumer's Cooperative Oil Company to Six Toes LLC. They also voted change the office hours to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
