Strum Village Board holds August meeting

STRUM - The Strum Village Board held its August meeting back on the 14th in the Strum Village Community Room.

A pay request from Gerke Excavating in the amount of $88,533.93 for work in the village's alley project was approved along with a change order for in the amount of $7,572.00 for 24 paving tops and bollards.

Citizen Ryan Berg spoke before the Board about a neighbor on Oak St. who last year requested a variance to construct a garage within the five-foot setback. Berge stated that the foundation is 34 inches from the property line and the drip line of the roof is on the property line. Board members agreed to consult the village's attorney to see what can be done in the matter.

Local realtor Victoria Bischel received an offer on Lot 1B in the Spruce St. addition. The offer was $21,000.00 which is $2,000.00 less than the asking price. The Board voted to accept the offer.
