Third Chilly Time is Still A Charm to Benefit Special Olympics

BLAIR - When folks are sitting warm and cozy in their houses, it's hard to imagine anyone going out and dropping into icy water - on purpose. But the dedicated people who do, have a very good reason.

On February 23, employees of Hi-Crush Blair Plant once again braved the icy waters of the Eau Claire River and participated in the 2020 Polar Plunge to benefit Wisconsin Special Olympics.

This is the third time a team from Hi-Crush has participated in the event. The Hi-Crush "Frosted Flakes" team raised over $1,600 "in cold cash" for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. Their teeth may have been chattering but there had to have been a warm feeling of knowing that they were freezing for a reason,
