Village of Strum to get over $110,000 in ARPA funding

STRUM - The Village of Strum will receive $114,088.72 in funds from the ARPA Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. This was announced at the July meeting of the Strum Village Board held back on the 12th.

The Finance Committee will meet and discuss the different options on where the amount can be spent.

The board approved all operator's license applications and they also approved the first pay application to McCabe Construction in the amount of $68,038.81 for the street project.

There will be road work done on the portion of U.S. Highway 10 sometime in 2024. A plan was broached before the board concering the possibility of having a walk-under culvert placed under the road to have access to the Strum Community Trails from the south side of the highway. This will be investigated to see if there will possibly be a grant that would be available to help with the cost.
