Angeline M. ‘Angie’ Ellis, 93 Reads Landing

Angeline M. ‘Angie’ Ellis, age 93, of Reads Landing, formerly of Rochester, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Wabasha. She was born June 5, 1924 in Spillville, IA, the daughter of John and Susan Huber. She was a graduate of Ossian High School. She was united in marriage to Ambrose ‘Bill’ Ellis December 18, 1942 in New Hampton, IA. Angie was a homemaker for her husband and their four sons and Bill worked many years for IBM in Rochester. The couple moved to Reads Landing after his retirement. Bill died October 23, 2016.
She and Bill thoroughly enjoyed their retirement home and the proximity to the Mississippi River and the beauty of the area. She loved fishing and she especially loved her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and those that knew her.
Angie is survived by her sons, John (Diane) Ellis, Rochester, MN, Bill Ellis, Spring Park, MN, Tom (Julie) Ellis, Oronoco, MN, Dick (Kim) Ellis, Rochester, MN; four grandchildren, Shane Ellis, Sheena Ellis, Chad Ellis and Jessica Huxol; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, parents, John and Susan Huber, brothers, John and Dan Huber, sisters, Matilda Gabel, Gen Becker and Lucille Wall, half-brother, Dick Huber and half-sister, Viola Tupy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00am at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with the Reverend Father Gregory Parrott officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one hour before the service.
