David J. Binner, 59, Wabasha

 David J. Binner, age 59, a lifelong resident of Wabasha, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 13, 2016. He was born October 21, 1957 in Wabasha, the son of Franklin and Adelaide (Ness) Binner. He was a 1976 graduate of Wabasha-Kellogg High School. He has worked as an electrician at Federal Mogul in Lake City since March, 1989. He married the former Anna Larson in February, 1987. They had three children together. They later divorced.
 David was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church. He also served in the U. S. Army Reserves in the 544th Ordnance Division located in Wabasha for nearly 20 years. He enjoyed working on several projects at his self built home and he also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors.
 He is survived by his children, Christopher Binner, Wabasha, MN, Stephanie Binner, Rush City, MN, and Melinda Binner, Wabasha, MN; siblings, Mary Ann Binner, Minneapolis, MN, Michael Binner, Wabasha, MN, Tom and Carol Binner, Wabasha, MN, Bob and Jolene Binner, Wabasha, MN, Marge and Jon Bergin, Lake City, MN, Joe and Carol Binner, Kellogg, MN, Larry and Kate Binner, Wabasha, MN, Cheryl and Mike Maier, Chatfield, MN, Cathy Binner (Vern Dietzenbach), Rochester, MN, Dan and Linda Binner, Wabasha, MN; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; aunts, Charlotte Arens, Kellogg, MN and Margaret Todd, Chatfield, MN; uncle, Dan Dinneen, Mandan, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Adelaide Binner.
 A funeral Mass was offered on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Felix Catholic Church with the Reverend Gregory Parrott officiating. Interment was at St. Felix Cemetery. Casket bearers were Alex Maier, Eric Binner, Jeremy and Nate Binner, Adam Binner and Patrick Bergin. Military rites were performed by the Wabasha American Legion Post #50 and the Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086. Family and friends called at the Abbott Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8pm and at the church on Friday one hour before the Mass. The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha was in charge of arrangements. www.abbottfh.com
