 Peggy Hartert Oates, age 60, of Vancouver, WA, formerly of Wabasha, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Portland, OR after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. Among her survivors are her husband, Pete Oates, her parents, Leigh and Joni Hartert, Wabasha, sisters, Cheri (Glen) Dick, Jodie (Matt) Schmoker, and brothers, Jerry (Cindy) Hartert, Denny (Christine) Hartert, Edward (Mary) Hartert and Leigh Hartert, Jr.. A local celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a future date with her complete obituary appearing closer to the date.
