Donovan W. ‘Don’ Rollie, 74, Kellogg

 Donovan W. “Don” Rollie, age 74, of Kellogg, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Wabasha. He was born October 19, 1941 in Spring Valley, MN, the son of Walter and Ilene (Long) Rollie. He married Ruth Huth June 7, 1980 at the Kellogg United Methodist Church in Kellogg. Don worked for several years as a truck driver for Warren Grain in Spring Valley and then together with his wife, Ruth, they drove truck for Bud Meyer Trucking of Lake City. He retired in 2005 because of failing health.
 He enjoyed baking, cooking and his precious little girls (dogs). He also enjoyed woodworking and together with his brother-in-law, Bill Huth, they made things for Bouquet Enterprises in Kellogg when that business was in its infancy. He liked to watch football and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings when they won. His greatest pleasure though was spending time with his grandchildren.
 Don is survived by his wife, Ruth Rollie, Kellogg, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Barbara Rollie, Stewartville, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Danny Kimball, Spring Valley, MN; five grandchildren, Jarod, and Hunter Rollie and Ryne, Reann and Raalen Kimball; two brothers, Charles (Gail) Rollie, Spring Valley, MN, Rick Rollie, Pigeon Forge, TN; two sisters, Rhonda Brugman, McGregor, MN, Pat Prohaska, Racine, MN; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Link and Sharon Alger.
 A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11:00am at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with the Reverend Cooper Wiggen officiating. Interment was at Greenfield Cemetery in Kellogg. Casket bearers were Ryne and Raalen Kimball, Jarod Rollie, Jim Huth, Donnie Huth and Billy Huth. Honorary bearers were Reann Kimball and Hunter Rollie. Family and friends called at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8pm and one hour before the service on Tuesday. The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha was in charge of arrangements. www.abbottfh.com
