Gary ‘Bim’ Angell
Gary ‘Bim’ Angell, 76, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2025, at his home in Wabasha, MN. Bim was born on February 7, 1949, to Robert and Mary Angell in Lake City, MN.
He loved to cook, even attending culinary school at one point in his life. At the time of his death he was working in the bakery at Wabasha Fresh Market. He was also a welder for a time, and that is where he found the colorful welder's caps that he always wore. He never missed Trout Opener in the spring, no matter the weather! Bim was a proud veteran, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Bim is survived by his daughter Mary, son Chris, sister Barbara Todeff, brother Rick Angell, and brother-in-law David Toole.
He will be missed by many and leaves behind grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Bim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Becky Toole and Laurie Voorhees, brothers Robert (Duff) and Mike Angell, and grandson Brandon Angell.
There will be a Celebration of Life to remember Bim on November 1, 2025, at the VFW in Wabasha, MN, starting at noon. Feel free to wear your favorite colorful cap, music t-shirt or clown gear!
Abbott Funeral Home & Crematory in Wabasha, MN, assisted the family. Words of sympathy or remembrance may be left at www.abbottfh.com
