Gary Lester Grunwald

Gary Lester Grunwald was born on October 14th, 1942 in Waseca, Minnesota and was raised by his mother, Florence Weakland. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1960. Gary passed from this life on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 in Wabasha, MN at the age of 79.
Gary proudly served as Private First Class in the Army from January 1962 to December 1967. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Marksman Badge (M-14) and Expert Badge (Rifle). Gary spent over 30 years of his working life in the Fishery Division at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in Lake City, MN. A good day for Gary was one spent outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother Florence and his older sister Linda Lee Grunwald. He is survived by his children Steven Grunwald and Stephanie Solis (Beau) and his grandchildren Kaiya, Jaeger, and Beckett Solis. He will be buried in Woodville Cemetery in Waseca, MN.
