Gladys ‘Kitty’ Inez Peterson, 89, Rochester

 Gladys “Kitty” Inez Peterson, 89, died August 24, 2015 in Rochester, MN, at Cottagewood Senior Communities. Kitty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read, sew and play games with her children and grandchildren. She was born March 21, 1926 in Bronson, Texas, to David and Mary Dollie (Ward) Ward. She married Lloyd Peterson on October 15, 1945, and moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. After moving to Texas and Iowa, they founded the United Pentecostal Church in Ellsworth, WI. They opened the Everyday Store offering shoe repair in Wabasha, MN while founding the United Pentecostal Church in Pepin, WI.
 Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary, husband, Lloyd, son, Gary, granddaughter, Laura Landmeyer, brothers, Vernon, Eugene, Burl and Earl, and sister, Hazel. She is survived by daughters, Twila (Leon) Payne, Bay City, WI, Gail (Jeff) Landmeyer, Cottage Grove, MN, Cherie (Rich) Witt, Nora Springs, IA; sons, Joel (Becky) Peterson, Wabasha, MN, Philip (Jennifer) Peterson, Osseo, WI; sister, Billie (Marshall) Marthaler, Jasper, TX; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
 A burial service was held August 26, 2015 at Maiden Rock Cemetery, Maiden Rock, WI.. A memorial service will be held at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Red Wing, MN, on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 3 P.M.
