Grant J. Emerson

Grant J. Emerson of Wabasha, MN, passed away on November 15, 2025, at Mayo Hospital, La Crosse, WI.
Grant was born to parents Elmer J. and Jane E. Emerson on May 26, 1941, in Rochester, MN. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1960. He then started a 40-year career in Material Control and later Purchasing at Crenlo Inc. in Rochester.
Grant married Carole Myhre in 1963 and later divorced. In 1988 Grant married Patricia (Patti, Pat) McQuarrie. They moved to Wabasha, MN in 2000.
Throughout his lifetime, Grant gave of his time in many volunteer positions, most recently at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Wabasha. He enjoyed nature, fishing, golf, watching sports, creating, building, figuring out and fixing things.
Grant is survived by his wife, Patti Emerson, his sister, Jane Douglas, the Myhre family, many nieces and nephews and special canine friend Rozey. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sigri Pull, step-son Christopher Marrs, and special canine friend, his “little girl” Zoey.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Abbott Funeral Home, Wabasha. Interment is at Greenfield Cemetery, Kellogg, MN.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
