James W. ‘Jim’ Schaub, Nelson

 James W. “Jim” Schaub, age 74 of Nelson passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Wabasha, MN. Jim was born on September 4, 1944 in Wabasha, MN the son of Melvin and Dorothy (Pronschinske) Schaub. He grew up on the family farm in Praag, WI, attended Alma High School and Winona State University. He worked as a mechanic at the Alma Marina for nearly 40 years and was former proprietor of the Twin Bluffs Mobile Home Court in Nelson, WI. He had been a member of the Nelson Volunteer Fire Department, Knights Of Columbus, and The Lions Club, and enjoyed working with his hands on all types of wood and metal projects.
 Jim is survived by his son, Brett of Alma, WI; daughter, Christina of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Trajan of Galesville, WI, Jada of Osseo, WI and Caden of Whitehall, WI; brother, Kenny of Chippewa Falls WI; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
 He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol of Eau Claire, WI.
 Cremation rites will be accorded and per Jim’s wishes there will not be any services. He will be laid to rest at Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, WI on a date in the near future.
