Janice D. Olson

Janice D. Olson, 78 of Kellogg, MN, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Gundersen – St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home, Wabasha, MN.
Janice Darlene was born January 12, 1944, in Wabasha, MN, to William and Ida Mae (Appel) McDonough. She graduated from St. Felix High School, Wabasha in 1962 and then graduated from business college in Minneapolis. For a short time, she was employed at General Parts & Supply, Minneapolis. On April 24, 1965, she married Gilmore “Beau” Olson at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kellogg and together they raised two sons: Michael and Timothy.
Janice and Beau lived in Minneapolis for a short time, then the family moved to Plainview and in 1978 to Kellogg. She was a member of the Weaver United Methodist Church, Weaver, MN.
She is survived by her husband Beau; sons: Mike and Tim; four sisters: Carol (Rich) Gosse; Patricia McDonough; Kathleen McDonough; and Mary (Eugene) Miller and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Jim McDonough.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at Weaver United Methodist Church, Weaver, MN, with Rev. Cheryl Nymann officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Minneiska, MN.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
