Janith P. Fuller
Janith Lucille (Passe) Fuller, age 82, passed away on November 19, 2023, at Gundersen St. Elizabeth’s Health Care Center in Wabasha, Minnesota.
Janith was born in Rochester, Minnesota on April 29, 1941, to Frank Herbert and Rose Anna (Flies) Passe. She graduated from Lourdes High School in Rochester in 1959. She attended Rochester Junior College and graduated in 1961 with an Associate in Arts degree. She also attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Sociology and a Minor in Psychology. While going to school, she worked summers at the R-Tic Drive-In in Rochester.
On May 16, 1970, she married Richard D. Fuller at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois.
Jan began her career working in the Market Research Department at the Proctor and Gamble Company in Cincinnati. She then worked in the Market Research Department at the Gillette Company in Chicago and Boston. In 1977, she started working for Market Facts, Inc, now Synovate Research Company, in Chicago until she retired in 2005. During most of her time at Market Facts, Jan was a Senior Vice President and Executive Officer managing a department of 14 Account Executives and Project Directors. During this time, she helped double sales, introduced new software and implemented a company-wide training program. In 1980, she became the first President of the Chicago Chapter of the Marketing Research Association.
After retiring, Jan and Richard moved to Wabasha, Minnesota to be closer to her family. They opened Wind Whisper West Art Gallery in Wabasha, featuring Japanese textiles and specializing in Wedding Kimono Fashion Art.
Jan enjoyed traveling domestically and abroad to visit family and friends. She was an active member of St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha.
Jan is survived by her sisters Annabelle Suilmann of Wabasha and Rosemary Koenig of Plainview, brother Richard (Sue) Passe of Peoria, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brother Roger, sister-in-law Delores and brothers-in-law Lloyd Suilmann and Everett Koenig.
A funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at St. Felix Catholic Church, Father Prince Raja officiating and Deacon John Hust assisting. Interment will be at St. Felix Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Gundersen-St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, St. Felix Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice.
