Joan also loved to travel with family and friends; it did not matter if it was camping in Nerstrand or heading overseas to Italy. Joan and Glen were enthusiastic fans of both the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings and watching their games was a favorite pastime for them.
Joan enjoyed volunteering at the Clothes Closet in Faribault, Community Café at the Cathedral Church and at the Faribault American Legion where she and Glen were long-time members. Over the years, she was employed at Nelson’s and Hy-Vee Grocery Stores, Faribault Public Schools for the Lunch Program and at JCPenney in Faribault.
Survived by husband Glen, daughter Sandra Kuhlman and son Steven (Anita) Wegner all of Faribault, grandchildren Ramsey (Olivia) and Grace Kuhlman, Logan Johnson, Jade and Cash Wegner all of Faribault, and one great-grandson Tate Johnson. Also survived by sisters Nancy (Bob) Vaplon of Wabasha, Minnesota, Janet (Tony) Dvorak of Bloomington, Minnesota and Jane (Jim) Hoefs of Cheyenne, Wyoming and sister-in-law Susan (Gayle) Leonhardt of Lake City.
