Joanne Marie Schultz

Joanne Marie Schultz, 64, died after a lengthy illness August 9, 2024, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. She was born January 3, 1960, in Fort Lauderdale, FL., to Art and Frances (Costello) Hartert, Jr.
Joanne graduated from Plainview High School in 1979 and later attended Rochester Vocational School and studied general secretarial duties.
Joanne married Donald Schultz, September 12, 1992. They had a daughter, Frances, on August 3, 1998.
Her occupational duties included work at Mack Publishing in Plainview, the Anderson House in Wabasha, Snyder Drug in Plainview, and Weber and Judd in Plainview.
Joanne enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and cross stitching, spending time with her daughter and husband.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was predeceased in death by her mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother William Hartert, sister-in-laws, Cindy Hartert and Diane Hartert, and brother-in law Tim Bignell.
Joanne is survived by her husband Donald of Plainview, daughter Frances of Plainview, brothers Tom Hartert of Dewey, AZ, John Hartert of Plainview, MN, sisters Kathy Bignell of Arkansaw, Wis, Virginia (Butch) Kronebusch of Plainview, MN, Mary Lou (Gary) Fritz of Washington, Utah.
A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 at Schad and Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview with a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be served at the Plainview American Legion following the service. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be sent to the Mayo NE Clinic Dialysis Unit.
Arrangements are being handled by Schad and Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview.
