They were married for 57 years and have both been a part of the community in Hopkins for over 60 years. She worked as a special education secretary in the Hopkins School District for over 25 years until retiring in 2007. In retirement she spent her time volunteering for many organizations including Hopkins Resources West and the Hopkins Women’s Club. Her house was always full of projects she was working on to help those in need. Our family was so proud of her when she was named the Grand Marshal of the 2022 Hopkins Raspberry Parade for her service in our community. Her greatest joy in life was her two grandsons and being able to spend time traveling to various locations around the country with them.
