Marilyn Violet Hermundson
Marilyn Violet Hermundson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at The Madrid Home. Marilyn was born in Nelson, Wisconsin on August 13, 1931, the daughter of Wesley and Ella Letts. Marilyn was preceded in death by her first husband Allan Hanson, her beloved husband of nearly 50 years Merle Hermundson, and her grandson Ernie McGinn.
Marilyn was a remarkable woman. She was very musical, playing guitar, button accordion and piano. She loved gardening; her flower garden was featured in several local publications in Wisconsin. She loved crafting, making beaded ornaments, crocheting many items from doll clothes to sofa afghans, and creating silk flower wreaths and wedding flowers. These were just a few of her talents. She was an avid reader and instilled a love of reading into all four of her daughters.
Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Roxanne (Cipriano) Garcia, Vicki (Ted) Mannes, Brenda Lee Hanson-Bird and Valerie (Dan) Chapman, along with seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., April 29, 2017 at Lyster Lutheran Church in Nelson, WI. A luncheon will follow. Memorial may be given to Lyster Luthran Church.
