Martin E. Stoll, 55, Wabasha

 Martin Edward Stoll was born to Bob and Dorothy Stoll on April 26, 1960 and passed away on October 23, 2015. The youngest of four children, he spent his entire childhood on the family farm in Bondurant, Iowa.
Marty graduated from Bondurant-Farrar High School in 1978. While there, he participated in several sports but excelled in golf. He qualified for the 1976 mixed doubles state tournament with partner Vicki Goode, and placed second in the boys state tournament in 1978. He attended Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) majoring in Ag Business and graduated in 1982. Since graduation, Marty has held several positions in the agribusiness industry. He started out as a district sales manager for Crows Hybrid Seed Corn Company, moved on to become the agronomy manager for Winneshiek Coop based out of Decorah, IA, and has since been an ag products rep for several companies, the most recent being Providence Ag in Lake City, Minnesota. During his career, Marty maintained a passion for construction and completed several notable projects. He constructed and sold a home in Wabasha and recently designed and contracted the total renovation of their Wabasha home on the Mississippi river. Marty was married to Beth Johnston on July 8, 1995. They moved to Wabasha in 1996 where they raised two children; Susan, a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Scott, a junior at Wabasha-Kellogg High School.
 Marty passed away suddenly this past Friday, October 23, 2015, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. He had recently been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary fibrosis, and was on the waiting list for a lung transplant. In addition to his immediate family, Marty is survived by a sister, Nancy Christensen (Ron) of Brownsdale, MN, and two brothers; Roger (Jinnie) of Pella, IA and Glenn (Pat) of Conifer, CO. Marty’s infectious sense of humor and positive attitude will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
 The family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Abbott Funeral Home at 236 2nd St. West in Wabasha. A celebration of Marty’s life will be held at the United Church of Christ, 317 2nd St. West in Wabasha on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 starting with a visitation at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 11am.
 Memorial contributions may be made to the Wabasha-Kellogg Booster Club or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha is in charge of arrangements. www.abbottfh.com
