Mary E. ‘Pfeilsticker, Wild’ Danckwart, 90, Wabasha

 Mary E. (Pfeilsticker, Wild) Danckwart, 90, of Wabasha, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020.
 Mary Danckwart was born May 20, 1930, in Wabasha, MN to August and Blanche (Davison) Pfeilsticker. Mary attended school at Winona State University, Mankato State University and the University of Minnesota. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree in 1949 and a Bachelor of Science in 1969. Mary also took graduate courses from Winona State University. On June 20, 1953 she married Gerald Wild; he passed on February 1, 1992. On March 5, 1994 she married John W. Danckwart, Sr.. He died December 27, 1999.
 Mary taught in schools around the Wabasha and Kellogg area for 42 years.
 She was a member of the VFW Aux, Wabasha Legion Aux, and life member of MEA & NEA. Mary was a lifetime member of the United Church of Christ, serving terms on all boards and was the treasurer for several years. She held office in Wabasha & Kellogg PTA’s.
 Mary enjoyed bowling, sewing and yard work in her free time and caring for her dog.
 She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Cheri Wild, Black River Falls, WI, and Mike and Beverly Wild, Wabasha, MN; step-son, Bruce Danckwart, Kellogg, MN; step-daughter, Jacquelyn (Steve) Rust, Minneapolis, MN; step-daughter-in-law, Mary Pat Danckwart, Kellogg, MN; two granddaughters, Kristin (Birk) Cooper, Stephani (Lucas) Lockington; four step-grandsons, Brenton (Anna) Loechler, Dustin Loechler, Travis (Karli) Danckwart, and Brady Danckwart; three step-granddaughters, Sarah (Jay) Jordan, Heather Danckwart and Amber (Erik) Becker; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
 Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Wild and John W. Danckwart, Sr., her parents, August and Blanche, step-son, John K. Danckwart, Jr., sister, Caroline Kreye, and brothers, Dan Pfeilsticker and Marion “Bud” Pfeilsticker.
 Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, a celebration of her life will be held at a future date at the United Church of Christ. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Wabasha, MN. Memorials are preferred to the Wabasha United Church of Christ, 317 2nd St. W., Wabasha, MN 55981or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
