Mary L. ‘Toni’ Schouweiler, 88, Kellogg

Mary L. ‘Toni’ Schouweiler, age 88, of Kellogg, died Friday, April 19, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Health Care Center in Wabasha. She was a lifelong resident of Kellogg and was born there May 4, 1930 to Thomas and Eleanor (Gage) McNary. She was a graduate of Kellogg High School. Toni was united in marriage to Donald Schouweiler December 30, 1947 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Toni was a lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church where she received all of her sacraments. She was also a member of the St. Agnes Council of Catholic Women, the National Catholic Society of Foresters, the Kellogg American Legion Post #546 Auxiliary and the Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086 Auxiliary.
She is survived by children, Susan Josselyn, Kellogg, MN, Jean Schouweiler, Joan Schouweiler (Dwayne Pelowski), Lorraine (Rollie) Hinck, all of Rochester, MN, Nora (Willard) Drysdale, Wabasha, MN, Mark Schouweiler, Kellogg, MN, Joe (Lisa) Schouweiler, Chisago City, MN, Chuck (Julie) Schouweiler, Mosinee, WI, Andy (Deb) Schouweiler, Wabasha, MN, Dave (Jane) Schouweiler, Kellogg, MN, Mike Schouweiler, Wabasha, MN; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard McNary, Louisville, KY; sisters, Rose Ann Zgoda, Albert Lea, MN, Maxine (Victor) Feliciano, N. Charleston, SC; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who died March 1, 2016, brother, Thomas McNary, sisters, Ruth McNary, Lorraine Johnson and Geraldine Roundy.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Gregory Parrott and Deacon John Hust officiating. Interment followed at St. Agnes Cemetery. Casket bearers were Willard Drysdale, Tom, Pete and Kevin Schouweiler, Rollie Hinck and Richard Hall. Family and friends called at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 4-8pm and at the church the following day one hour before the Mass.
