Message to Wabasha Herald Readers
A MESSAGE TO OUR READERS
Newspapers throughout the country, including here in our area, are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
So, in this regard, The Herald remains committed to keeping our subscribers and community informed. As an essential business to our area, we have every intention of continuing to deliver printed newspapers and shoppers to our subscribers during this unprecedented time in our nation’s history.
We will continue to produce and deliver print copies of the Herald as the situation allows. Print copies of the Herald will be available at retail locations which remain open to the public, also as the situation allows.
We are also taking prudent steps to develop business continuity plans to address a multitude of possible scenarios we could face. We want our print subscribers to know in advance some of the challenges we could face and the possible outcomes.
In the event a significant number of our employees or a large number of independent contractors who deliver our products were to contract the virus, delivery of our printed products could be interrupted. The Herald is printed and prepared for delivery at RiverTown Publications in Red Wing. Our ability to produce the print versions of the Herald is dependent upon their situation.
Our ability to deliver could also be interrupted as a result of supply chain disruptions, which could include the ability to obtain newsprint, ink and other consumables used in the printing process.
We rely on the U.S. Postal Service. Decisions regarding mail service rests with the U.S. Postmaster General.
If our ability to print and deliver our printed publications is interrupted we will communicate with our subscribers via our website, gmdmedia.net .
For our print subscribers of theHerald, now would be a good time to also activate a digital membership subscription. You can activate your on-line subscription by calling the Wabasha office at 651-565-336, by U. S. Mail at 200 Industrial Court Suite 100, Wabasha, MN 55981, using our drop box at the above address, or by emailing us at email@example.com .
