Michael F. Burns, 81, Wabasha

 Michael F. Burns, 81 of Wabasha, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Mayo Health System Lake City Nursing Home, Lake City, MN.
 Michael Francis was born April 10, 1939, in Wabasha to Michael and Florence (Mc Clellan) Burns. He graduated from Wabasha High School and then entered the US Army. After his honorable discharge he returned to Wabasha and was employed with the Milwaukee Rail Road. He previously owned and operated the Ford Dealership in Plainview from 1978-1982 and his auto management and sales career spanned 37 years until his retirement at age 59.
 On April 23, 1960, he married Elaine Selke in Plainview, MN and together they raised two children. He was a member of Wabasha United Church of Christ.
 He is survived by his wife Elaine; a daughter, Katy (Christopher) Bonnstetter, Castle Pines, CO and his three grandchildren: Sophia, J.B., and Ruby; a son, Rory Burns, Shawano, WI; and a sister, Barb Ludwitzke, Wabasha, MN.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Martin Burns; a sister, Phyllis Peterson; and a brother-in-law, Gary Ludwitzke.
 Due to the current restrictions for gatherings, a memorial service will be held at a future date.
