Michelle D. Eide, 66, Wabasha
Michelle D. Eide, 66, of Wabasha and formerly of Stewartville, MN, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Michelle was born on July 22, 1954 in Rice Lake, WI to James and Doris (Storlie) Klees. She graduated from Mayo High School and on January 16, 1973 married Steven Eide at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rochester, MN. Together they raised three children: Tricia, Traci, and Matthew.
She was formerly employed at the Stewartville Pharmacy for over 25 years. She enjoyed boating, reading, going to the casino, watching the Vikings, and a glass of wine (or two!) with friends, family, and neighbors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and made sure each and every one felt special. Michelle and her husband and best friend of almost 50 years were blessed to be able to travel to many destinations over the years. The two of them were never very far apart from each other and her favorite times with him were lazy days together in the boat on the river. Michelle had a very unique laugh and you always knew when she was in the room. Gatherings were always more fun with her around. She will be missed by many!
Michelle is survived by her husband Steve; three children: Tricia (Jason) Myhre of Rochester, Traci (Dylan) Serrano of Stewartville, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Eide of Stewartville; seven grandchildren: Kyler and Noah Payne, Zachary Myhre, Jorden and Jaymen Serrano, and Addison and Brynn Eide; a great granddaughter CharlySue and a great grandson Conrad due in March 2021; seven siblings: Sharon (Ken) Strum, Greg (Ginny Stevens) Klees, Judy (Kevin) Christensen, Debby (Pat) Towey, Renee (Kurt) Braeutigam, Joey (Leta) Klees, and Tammy (Gary) Nordine; mother and father-in-law: Darwyn and Bonnie Eide of St. Charles, MN; and many more family members and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Billy, Kevin, and Jimmy Klees.
Private family services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Abbott Funeral Home, Wabasha.
