Mildred A. “Millie” Denbrook
 Mildred A. “Millie” Denbrook, 92, of Wabasha, MN, formerly of Fergus Falls and Wadena, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home in Wabasha surrounded by family. Millie was born October 11, 1924 in Fergus Falls, MN to Helmer and Olga (Houg) Nelson. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1943. Millie was a true “Rosie the Riveter”, helping the war effort from 1944 to 1945 by working in the shipyards in Tacoma, WA.
 Millie married Lester Denbrook on October 4, 1947 at Hedemarken Lutheran Church in rural Carlisle. The family moved to Wadena in 1953 where they resided for 36 years. Millie was employed by Moore and Yetter Drug for many years. The family enjoyed summers at their lake cabin on Rush Lake. In 1989, Millie and Les moved back to Fergus Falls and in 2011, Millie moved to Wabasha to be near her daughter.
 She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wadena and later at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She loved volunteering, especially at the Humane Society and the Veterans Home in Fergus Falls. Her caring and concern for others was evident throughout her life. Millie always had a good attitude, always looking for the good in others and any situation. She loved to laugh and never lost her sense of humor.
 Millie is survived by her daughter, Merideth (Gary) Frost, Wabasha, MN; sons, Scott (Diana) Denbrook, Plainfield, IN, Craig (Patty) Denbrook, Centreville, VA; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Brent, Ryan, Missy, Jamie, Jason, Regina and Stephen; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Denbrook; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Denbrook, her parents, Helmer and Olga Nelson, and sister, Hazel Nelson.
 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00am at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls with the Reverend Christopher Eldredge officiating. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls. Family and friends may call at the church one hour before the service. Memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Veterans Home of Fergus Falls or St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation of Wabasha.
