Peter Michael Klucas

Peter Michael Klucas died January 9, 2025 at his home in Wabasha after a four- year battle with cancer. Peter was born January 1, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN to Eldon L. Klucas and Mavis E. (Olson) Klucas. Peter grew up in South Minneapolis and Siren, WI. He graduated from Vocational Technical High School in 1971. During his life Peter worked as a blacksmith, welder, carpenter, over the road trucker and finished his working life as a maintenance supervisor for non-profit hous-ing companies.
Peter was the happiest when he was with his family or in the outdoors. Whether it was grouse hunting near Two Harbors, MN, hunting elk in Colorado, fishing the waters of Lake Superior or riding with Missy on the Goldwing, Peter loved to be out in nature. Peter proudly served in the Army Reserve for seven years.
He used his background as a native Minnesotan to teach Winter Survival. Peter is survived by his wife of 26 years Missy, his children: stepson David Klucas, daughter Jennifer Crowell and her
husband Dave, his son Peter Micheal Klucas and wife Lien Pham , stepson Trevor Brown and nephew Andrew Klucas and wife Kaiti. Peter was an adored Papa to grandchil-dren: Sienna, Warrick, Ethan, Jackson, Elliott, Samantha, Emmett and Ezra. Peter is also survived by his sister Donna and his former wife Kathryn Klucas. He was loved by countless cousins, nieces and nephews and fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin and Ernest and sister Wendy Haberman. Peter was a friend to all and a stranger to no man. His joys in life were to be surrounded by his family’s love and to be of service. When asked for help, Peter’s answer was never no. A private event will occur in late spring on Lake Superior.The family requests that memorials be made to the Amenican Cancer Society.
