Peter P. Kjaglien, 70, Fergus Falls

Peter P. Kjaglien, 70, a resident of Fergus Falls, MN died Monday, April 30, 2018.
He was born on May 5, 1947, to Phillip and Annette (Gunderson) Kjaglien in Minneapolis, MN. Peter graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1965. Peter married Judith Irish on May 11, 1968, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg, MN. He worked in Minneapolis as a cab driver. In 1976, he moved back to Fergus Falls and was employed in Grounds Maintenance at the Fergus Falls State Hospital. Peter was also a very dedicated caregiver to his mother. Peter enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family and all his friends; especially spending time at the family lake cabin in Remer, MN. Peter loved his trips to Ohio, going through Chicago was always an adventure, to see Peter and Henry. He also enjoyed traveling to Grand Forks to watch Sean play hockey.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Phillip and Annette; son, Tony in 2010; twin sister, Phyllis; cousin, John Boen; brother-in-law, Bob Hoffman; and his beloved dog Jazzy.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Judi of Fergus Falls; children, Kathleen (Glenn Barton) Kjaglien of Mentor, OH, Matt Kjaglien of Waconia, MN; and grandchildren, Sean Kjaglien of Grand Forks, ND, Peter and Henry Barton of Mentor, OH.
Visitation was held from 4-5 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, MN. Service was held at 5 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Fergus Falls, MN. Clergy was Chaplain David Strom.
