Phyllis M. Hoffman

Phyllis M. Hoffman, age 76, of Eden Prairie, MN died January 24, 2026 at Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis. She had been there for surgery related to a serious infection related to advanced MS.Phyllis was born August 28, 1949 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha, MN. From the hospital she went home to a farm near Kellogg, MN. She was the third daughter of Arnold and Loretta Hoffman. Later the family bought another farm near Conception, MN and lived there till Phyllis was 15. She attended a country school for grade school. They moved to Kellogg. Phyllis went to St. Felix High School in Wabasha and graduated in 1967. She worked for Snider's Grocery Store in Kellogg to earn money to attend a computer training school in Minneapolis. Completing her schooling, she was hired by Williams Steel and Hardware in Minneapolis and worked there her entire working career.A partner, Dennis Ralidak was with her much of her adult life until his death several years ago. Health problems forced them both to a living facility in Bloomington and then to McKenna Crossings in Prior Lake, MN. She continued to live at McKenna Crossings through October 2025 until progression of MS caused her to move to Flagstone with s nursing home in early November 2025. She developed a severe infection in December, was hospitalized in mid-January for surgery, and died a week later.Phyllis donated her body to the UofM's Anatomy Bequest Program for medical research but because of the infection wasn't accepted by them. Her cremated remains will be dis-posed of later in the spring by family. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanine Hoffman-Lucero of Minnetonka and Sister Karen Marie Hoffman of Shakopee, brother-in-law Dan Lucero, nephew Steve Hoff-man of Elizabeth, CO, and niece Sherry Hoffman of Prior Lake, MN.
