Robert “Bob” Allen Laska
Robert “Bob” Allen Laska, also known as “Chickie”, 71, passed away on Sunday, De-cember 28, 2025, at his home in Frontenac, MN. Bob was born on March 3, 1954, to Julius and Adeline (Kohal) Laska. He grew up in the Wabasha- Kellogg area and graduated from Wabasha High School in 1972. On September 9, 1972, he married Becky Kruger. Together, they had three sons: Jeremy, Corey and Travis. They later divorced. On October 7, 1995, he married the love of his life, Antonette “Toni” Keller. They created their home on the sand prairie in Wabasha, MN. Toni passed away on June 27, 2009. Bob was a longtime employ-ee of Federal-Mogul in Lake City, MN, for over 40 years. He retired in 2016 after his cancer diagnosis. He then moved to Lake City, MN, and started a life with his special friend, Barb Carrels, until her passing on October 31, 2023. He was currently employed part-time at Ace Hardware in Lake City, MN, until his passing. He loved spending time outdoors. He often hunted and fished with his brothers and close friends. Bob was a very social person, even though he would pretend to be grumpy. He was always willing to help anyone in need and could never say “no”. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at his fa-vorite “watering hole”, B Wells in Frontenac, MN. Bob is survived by his three sons, Jeremy (Karyn) Laska of Red Wing, MN, Corey Laska of St. Louis Park, MN, and Travis (Lacy) Laska of Wabasha, MN; three grandchildren, London, Cooper and Chase Laska; two brothers, Pudge (Pam) and Joe (Kate), both of Wabasha, MN; one sister, Cora (Lee) Vaaler of Spring Grove, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Toni; two brothers, William Kohal and Jerry Laska; one sister, Mary Hammon; and special friend Barb Carrels. Bob’s family would like to extend a big Thank You to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Department and to Rob Roper, a good friend of Bob’s.
