Thomas Hendrix Heater, Jr., 84, Minnetonka

Thomas Hendrix Heater, Jr., age 84, of Minnetonka, passed away June 14, 2015, in Wabasha. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. Sr. and Sarah Naomi and eight siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lucille (Iverson); son, Paul; daughters Susan, JoAnn (Greg) Hartung; two grandsons, Jake and John Heater.
Tom was a veteran of the Korean War and was a volunteer reserve officer for the Minnetonka Police Department for many years.
He was a longtime member of Fairview Lutheran Church in Minnetonka.
Tom retired after a long career as an insurance underwriter.
Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Care Center in Wabasha for their loving care of Tom.
The funeral service was June 19th with interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
