Donald Myren

Donald LeVerne Myren, age 87, of Osseo WI passed away on October 13, 2018. He was born in the Town of Hale, Trempealeau County, WI on August 19, 1931 to Aldor and Wilhelminne (Minnie) Myren. Don graduated from Whitehall High School and continued to work on the family farm until the early 1990s retiring. He loved farming and always commented it was a place he was his own boss.
In his retirement he was the family historian and put together elaborate records of the family ancestry. In 1999 he traveled to Norway for his research and located a distant relative to compile missing pieces of the family ancestry. Don resided at Dove HealthCare-Osseo the last several years up to the time of his death. He will be remembered by his family as a soft-spoken gentle man with a huge smile. He never complained about anything.
Don was survived by his children; Allen Myren, Linda Myren Habbestad and Michael Myren, Brothers; Gerald Myren, Bruce Myren and Larry Myren. Seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents; Aldor and Minnie Myren, brother Roger Myren and sister Beverly Myren Peterson.
The family wish to thank Dove HealthCare - Osseo for their compassionate care and Mayo Clinic Heath System Hospice for their help in Don’s last days.
Services are 11:00 a.m. October 26, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (N40558 County Road O, Whitehall, WI) with Reverend Gary Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with a reception afterwards.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Schiefelbein Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
