Region masons welcome new leader

On Monday, Dec. 8, Brian Trowbridge was installed as Master of Buffalo River Masonic Lodge, formerly Mondovi Lodge. 

Installing master was his father James. Brian is the 5th generation of his family to be master. He is preceded by his father James in 1987 and 2011, his grandfather Robert in 1981, his great-grandfather Hugh in 1925 and 1926, and his great-great-grand uncle William in 1918. His great-great-grandfather was a master mason and member of the lodge, but never the master of the lodge. 

Buffalo River has members spanning from Fairchild to Mondovi along Highway 10, and south along the Mississippi River to Cochrane and Fountain City. The lodge, chartered in 1893, meets the second and fourth Monday of each month in Mondovi.
