Rosario Roxas
Rosario R. Roxas, 67, of Osseo, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Rosario was born September 30, 1949 in Manila, Philippines to Pedro and Leonora (Talag) Roxas. She immigrated to the United States in 1974 and lived in Chicago.
Rosario worked as a surgical technician while in Chicago. In 1988 she moved to Pigeon Falls, WI. She was presently employed at Kwik Trip in Osseo.
Rosario loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, cooking and baking, watching “Wheel of Fortune” and watching the Brewers and Packers play.
Rosario dedicated her life serving others whether it be at home, work, or community. Even in passing, she was able to save three lives by donating her organs.
Rosario is survived by her special friend Harvey Franson of Hammond; five children, Boots Palad (Steven Johnston) of Hayward, CA, Winnie Ross (Tim Campbell) of Mondovi, Charissa (Joehl) Angeles of Hayward, CA, Nolan Johnson (Julie Glenn) of Kansas City, KS and Stacey (Blake) Sutherland of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Travis James “T.J.” Ross, Victoria Rose Ross, Seth P. Angeles and Tyler Luke Palad-Burkholder; six sisters (Linda Punsalan (Felipe), Cora Nielsen, Perlita Depakakibo (Jun), Vangie Natividad (Tom), Chona Reyes (Edwin), Menchie Umayam and a brother, Oscar Roxas (Minnie-deceased). She was also survived by nephews and nieces.
Rosario was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Leonora and a grandson Nathaniel Angeles.
Celebration of Life for Rosie will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum with Rev. Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial will be in West Beef River Lutheran Cemetery, rural Strum.
Friends may call from 5-9 pm on Wednesday at Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo. Friends may also visit from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday.
