Robert Bernard Davis Sr.

Robert Bernard Davis Sr., 74, of Mondovi, WI passed away November 30, 2025, at Mayo Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI. He was born August 12, 1951, in Madison, WI; son of Bernard and Margy (Rud) Davis.
He graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee, WI. Following graduation, he attended classes in Waukesha for tool & die machinist.
Bob married Marcia Drobac in 1971. To this union two children were born, Robert Jr. and Jacqueline. Bob and Marcia later divorced.
He worked at Briggs & Stratton for his entire career until age 55. He specialized in engine building and repair.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, always hunting, fishing or dreaming about more hunting and fishing. He was a diehard Packer, Brewer and Badger fan.
He was with his special friend Sandy Winberg for many years. They enjoyed camping and some travel over their many years together but truly enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his two children, Bob Jr. Davis (Elizabeth) of Eau Claire, WI and Jackie (Kelvin) Hinz of Adell, WI; five grandsons, Cody, Justin, Caleb, Owen, Charlie and four great grandsons; siblings, Barbara Davis, Brad Davis, Bruce (Cheryl) Davis, Bev (Gary) Doornink and Becky Davis; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Sandy Winberg and her family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Margy (Rud) Davis and his granddaughter, Jodeen Hinz.
In death Bob chose to be an organ donor, so his family fulfilled his wish. We hope a recipient received his healthy liver.
Memorial services will be at noon on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Gilmanton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until noon at the church. Burial will follow in the Gilmanton Cemetery.
