Jewels Madison Plank, age 15 of Alma, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 11, 2019 at her home.
Jewels faith in God was deeply rooted in her life. She attended Cochrane-Fountain City High School where she enjoyed track and drama. Jewels loved animals and especially “big boy” the pig. She made it her mission to find homes for farm cats she rescued; although she did keep a special cat, Bella for herself. Jewel and her sister made a game of using the extra produce from the garden as baseballs. She was an avid reader and loved learning new things. She loved spending time outside, especially kayaking with the family. Jewel was a kind and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Jewels will be sadly missed by her parents, Travis and Machelle; sisters, Rose and Makaela Brown (Morgan Rusert);; brothers, Noah Korpi-Plank, Nikolaus Brown and Zachary; grandparents; Delmar and Sandy Plank; aunt, Cara Lee (Gary) Weirsgalla; cousins; staff at Hope Harbor of Winona and dear friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Alma Chapel on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A private service will be held for the family after. Please share your fond memories and condolences with the family at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com.
