Amanda Marie “Mandi” Haremza (Brion)
Amanda Marie “Mandi” Haremza (Brion), 45, of Altoona, Wisconsin, passed away tragically on October 13, 2026, alongside her beloved son, Rylan; her mother, Mary; and her sister, Kayla.
Mandi was born on June 22, 1981, in Wabasha, Minnesota, to David “Dave” and Mary (Bauer) Brion. She attended Alma Area Schools, graduating in 1999. During high school, Mandi was a successful high school athlete playing volleyball, basketball and earned a trip to the state meet in track and field. Following high school, she continued her education at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where she earned an Associates Degree in Health Information Technology in 2001. She went on to build a career serving medical facilities throughout the Eau Claire area, spending many of her professional years with OakLeaf Clinics.
On February 7, 2014, Mandi married the love of her life, Lee Haremza. Together, they built a loving family, beginning with Lee’s son, Keegan, and later welcoming their two sons, Rylan and Caysen. The five of them shared a special bond, creating a family filled with love, support, and countless memories.
Above all else, Mandi was a devoted wife and mother. Her love for her boys was boundless, and she took immense pride in each of them—their accomplishments, their dreams, and the people they were becoming. She never hesitated to go the extra mile, whether that meant driving near or far to cheer them on in football, wrestling, hockey, or whatever new adventure they pursued. Mandi was their biggest fan, their unwavering supporter, and a constant source of encouragement. Her boys never had to wonder whether she would show up for them. She always did.
Mandi also had a love for adventure and a zest for life. She was always ready for the next trip with Lee, family or friends - whether it meant soaking up the sun on a relaxing beach, hiking a mountain, catching a concert, or taking a spontaneous getaway to Las Vegas. She embraced the opportunity to make memories, explore new places, and enjoy life with the people she loved.
Those who knew Mandi knew just how special she was. There truly was not a mean bone in her body. She was kind, compassionate, generous, and endlessly supportive of the people around her. She had a way of making others feel welcome, cared for, and loved. Her friendships were deep and lasting, and the number of people who loved her is a testament to the person she was. Mandi was the kind of person who showed up for others, celebrated their successes, offered support through difficult times, and gave her love without hesitation or expectation. She made the world a little brighter simply by being in it, and her absence will be felt by so many.
Mandi is survived by her loving husband, Lee; her son, Caysen; and her bonus son, Keegan. She is also survived by her father, Dave; her sister, Katie Willis (Jeff) and their daughters, Kahlen and Ashlee; her brother-in-law, Quincy Turpin, and his children, Ellis and Emerson “Emmy”; her in-laws, Michelle and Austin Parenteau; sister-in-law, Tonya Haremza, brother-in-law Michael “Mikey” Haremza as well as an extensive extended family and a tremendous circle of friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by all four of her grandparents, Louis “Louie” Brion; Irene (Traun) Brion; William “Bill” Bauer; and Helen (Ilgen) Bauer and other extended family.
Mandi’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who loved her. The loss of such a beautiful soul, devoted mother, loving wife, cherished daughter and sister and amazing friend is beyond words.
For Lee, Keegan, and Caysen, the loss of Mandi is unimaginable. She was the heart of their family, their biggest cheerleader, their source of comfort, and someone whose love could always be counted on. The memories they made together, the adventures they shared, and the love she poured into their lives will forever be a part of them.
Her life was defined by the love she gave so freely, the people she lifted up, and the countless ways she showed up for those who mattered most to her.
Mandi’s time on this earth was cut short, but she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, loyalty, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched. The world is a little less bright without her in it, but it is forever better because she was here. Mandi will be missed more than words can ever express but she will never be forgotten.
