Calvin Gene Tiffany

Calvin Gene Tiffany, 79 of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Pepin, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022 with his loving wife, Ana by his side.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 12, 1942, to Scott and Kathryn (Alton) Tiffany, the second of six children. During his summers in high school, Calvin worked at his Grandpa H.O. Tiffany’s farm in Nelson, WI and at the Trevino Sawmill. He rode his horse from Pepin across the Chippewa bridge every day.
He graduated from Pepin High School in 1960.
At age 17, he moved to Minneapolis where he attended and graduated from Northwestern Bible College. During college, he volunteered at the Billy Graham Association as a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusades and helped to bring many people to Christ. He then attended the University of Dubuque and received his Master of Divinity from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He preached in many small churches in southwestern Wisconsin.
Later, he moved back to Minneapolis where he lived and worked at Daystar Ministries organization. He was also a city bus driver and apartment building manager.
Calvin belonged to the Youth With a Mission volunteer organization and did missionary work in Spain. He also traveled to Mexico.
Calvin had many interests in life, including bicycling and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He once rode his HD Sportster motorcycle on the Trail of Tears route.
He had many good friends and loved to help and mentor people, especially the disadvantaged. He was especially interested in people of other cultures. Calvin’s family was very important to him. He was a loving son, brother and husband and will be deeply missed.
On February 14, 2012, he married Ana C. Mero of Ecuador at the Amigos Celebration Church in Lakeville, where they met at the Spanish church services.
Calvin is survived by his wife Ana; brothers Jerome Tiffany and David (Katharine) Tiffany; sisters Kathleen (Bob) Church, Carol (Gary) Dregney, and Carmen Tiffany; his aunts, Marguerite Iverson and Virgal Tiffany; many cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 with a visitation at the Pepin United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00. Internment will be the Nelson Cemetery.
